Every Precious Day is Precious Also

It is always sunny and somewhere between 70 and 90 degrees. A breeze blows across the yard and through open windows in the summertime. Peacocks trick-or-treat for seeds or berries, sometimes they eat from a hand. No painting can replace a window. Paintings outside are awesome. The inside is the outside is the insider spot.

This idea of a constant, evenness between the inside and outside affords a totally different way of working with paint. Whereas other cities have weather and cold extremes, we do not. Therein my process has become especially unique to my life.

Our neighborhoods have micro-ecosystems that will include legacy peacock flocks. They are beautiful, wild and noisy, they trick or treat for little bits around the neighborhood. Only in places where the climate can afford wild peacocks can I paint with my current process.
